Meet... Diane Allan

Born in Windsor Ontario, I grew up and was educated in Regina Saskatchewan. While residing in Regina, I worked for the City government and modelled professionally.

Victoria always beckoned to me. My maternal grandmother lived here. This is where my mother met my father during the early years of the war. Being a frequent visitor as a youngster, I fell in love with the city at an early age. So, I finally left the prairies and moved to Victoria in 1973.

Our family moved to Cordova Bay in 1982 and has been there ever since. My husband and I finished raising our five children, the youngest is now 37, in the house we bought in 1983. We still live there. Our house is our home, a foundation for our family which now includes 5 grandchildren.

After 24 years service, I retired in 2004 from the Federal Government as a Supervisor in the Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security Departments. Towards the end of my civil service career I operated my own company, Earthborne Designs and was, for a time, the floral designer for the Aerie Resort. After retirement, I decided to pursue a career in residential Real Estate.

I have always loved interior design and decoration. Over the years, I have taken many courses in these disciplines and continue to be up to date with current trends. I feel this assists me in showing homes to clients. With my experience, I can usually see a property's possibilities and what might be done to renovate or update it to suit the buyer's needs.

My goal is to find the right property for my clients who are buyers. This needs to be a home that they are comfortable in and love from the outset. For those clients that are selling, I hope to find buyers who will enjoy the property as much as the sellers have.
